    Superlight! - 1/29/2015

They are what they are named, Superlight frames. Lenses appear to be pretty high quality for such inexpensive glasses. I popped the lenses out of mine and had my optometrist put my prescription lenses in and they are super for me!

    NIce glasses - 11/18/2014

I had been looking for some new polarized glasses for trout fishing. The Wraith Sunglasses were on sale and were too good to pass up,. I haven't fished with them yet, but they seem to be really clear and cut glare quite well. The only thing I don't like is that they are huge. I have a big head an they look like bug eyes on me. The fish won't care, but I probably won't be wearing them for casual purposes.

Great low light fishing / driving glasses - 11/10/2014
    By: from Redmond, WA

Bought since they were on sale and very happy with them. They fit me well and are nice and light! I bought these as a backup to my Costa's that are 5x more expensive and that I love. Wore them on a foggy day of fishing on the Cowlitz river and loved them! I would recommend these, particularly when you can pick them up at the sale price I did!

    Great glasses - 10/21/2014

I purchased these for my wife. Hard to find a pair she liked, she loves these. They are a great pair of glasses. If they would have looked good on me, I would have bought a pair.

Great Sunglasses for golf - 6/1/2014

This is the second pair that my husband has purchased. These reduce the glare and helps him see his golf ball. His lens preference is amber and these work well for him. He now keeps one pair in the car and one in the house.

    Good glasses - 8/7/2013

Amber lenses are bright and clear. I recently used them on an overcast day in Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park and they did a great job, even when the sun popped through the clouds. They may not be good for very sunny conditions as the lenses are more shooter yellow.

    Good Glasses - 1/25/2013

They don't have the contrast and color resolution that the more expensive glasses have, but for the price, these are lightweight, durable, and the polarization is great. An essential tool when fishing to cut through the glare on the water so you can see what your line is doing and spot fish better.

Good for fishing conditions - 10/27/2012

The lenses for these glasses are light. However, I have worn them in bright sunlight, and they have made things more comfortable for me. Moreover, I find that they are better for dusk and dawn, the magic time for fishing. Bought these because I was beating up my $200 fancy pair. Very happy with this price for this quality.

    Disappointed - 10/19/2011
    By: from Northern Wisconsin

I have worn the superlight wraps for years and felt for $49 they were a great value. Evidently, Orvis discontinued that model. After my last pair went in the deep six I tried the Wraiths. They fit nice, looked nice, and were very light, but did not provide enough tinting for real protection from the sun. I hope Orvis brings back the Superlight Wraps, but until they do I may have to consider other brands.

Superlight Sunglasses:
Great polarized fishing sunglasses at a great value

The Need

Not everyone can or wants to spend a lot of money on a pair of sunglasses. But, even the beginner angler should have a pair to see more fish and to protect eyes from the sun, hooks, branches etc. These glasses give you great polarized glasses at a great value.

How they came to be

The strong relationship with our sunglass vendor helped to bring these great glasses to you. While helping to provide a high quality product the vendor took advantage of more widely-used materials that help keep the costs down.

The style of lens is easier to manufacture than our Tri-Spectrum glasses and therefore less expensive for you while giving you the ability to see more into the water an to protect your eyes.

Technical features

Thermal formed polycarbonate lenses are sandwiched pre-tinted, polarized material then bonded for excellent optical quality. Lightweight, strong, and durable nylon frames maintain their structure in varied temperature shifts while the lenses give you UV protection and provide scratch resistance. Available in brown and gray lenses, in black or tortoise frames.
