Nice pack -

I like the pack a lot and it comes with two sizes of belt for your waist. Only complaint is there both a little big for me but I am skinny so it's not to bad. Not many pockets to separate gear but I don't mind that either. Good purchase I'm happy

Great little bag -

Love it! I wear this like a sling, up on my hip as opposed to a chest style. It's a great size for a day's worth of flies (4-5 boxes), lanyard, bug repellent, camera, keys, shades, leaders and desiccant. If I'm out for long day I toss it (loaded) into a day pack and drop the larger bag when I get to a juicy spot where I'll be a while.
Ideal carry on Boat & Float Plane bag -

Looked all over for the right size water proof versatile carry on bag for boat and float plane. Small but sized big enough for a few fly boxes and a spare reel or spool. Chest pack capability is an added Plus!
The end of my fishing jacket... -
By: Maxime from Quebec, Canada
I transferred all gears from my fishing jackets, and all things could fit in my new chest pack. So finally my gears will stay dry in rainy days. I will be more confortable in hot days because I will not be wearing a jacket under 90 degrees. I will also appreciate to don't have to wear my rain jacket over my fishing jacket on rainy days. It would have been nice to add a feature to hold the fishing rod when we have to change our fly.
Almost Perfect! -
When I started transferring my "stuff" from my old chest/waist pack to the Gale Force Chestpack, I noticed a couple of things - 1. There were no Velcro straps or anything else with which to hold my rod while retrieving items from my pack or dealing with releasing a fish. 2. More inside pockets would be helpful in dealing with small items - perhaps on both sides of the inside of the pack, which would yield 4 separate spaces to hold items. Otherwise, this is a terrific Chestpack! Holds double what my old one could hold and less weight at that.
More versatile than other chest packs -

Although a bit pricey, this bag has several key advantages, all having to do with versatility: 1. It can be easily used as a sling-type bag. I am often annoyed with my other chest pack getting in the way of my casting (line hand). So this pack I can sling around to my rear hip; 2. The interior is very commodious---I fish fresh and salt, warm and cold, and need space for larger boxes. I can get 2 in this bag. The simplicity of the design of the interior is a real plus, here, and of the overall bag deceptive---doesn't look like much but that winds up being a virtue; 3. It's got lots of small, subtle features that are really great, like the magnets and the tabs for forceps; 4. While not an underwater bag, it's waterproof enough for the contents to survive a dunking and will float if knocked out of the boat/kayak long enough for retrieval. It's my go-to bag now.

The perfect size to hold the flies for a days outing. Conveniently clips to the back pack and is very comfortable.
