Normal Fit -
I purchased the chore coat in brown. It's a very high quality item, classic but modern enough cut and a nice, washed soft duck fabric. To my taste it could have been a little less washed, but it's good. I first got the coat in L but then changed to M as it was too big for me. I'm L in most clothes, rarely an M and sometimes XL, so to me it didn't fit small.
classic fit, not modern fit -
Was not wild about this chore coat, and that's coming from a guy who likes workwear. Stronghold has kept to traditional dimensions for clothing, which means wide chest, and short arm length but are still wide and blousy. Contrast stitching was more visible than you would think from the picture. Metal buttons and construction are on-point but I can't recommend it for the reasons above.
NIce, but Too Small -

Orvis clothes almost always fit me well, but this item was about a size too small. Instead of being advertised as a "chore coat", it would more accurately be described as a "heavy chore shirt", as it's too lightweight to be called a coat. The buttons are hard to get into the button slits (which are too small). Other than that, it's quite well-made, & of soft & comfortable material.
A Wonderful Coat -

I don't understand the negative comments about this coat. I was so pleased I bought one of each color. It's made from good-quality fabric and the workmanship is top notch. Some Stronghold products run small, but this coat seems true to size. When I read that sizing ran small, I ordered the Large size. Too big! Exchanged for a medium that fits perfectly. I'm a 41 Regular in a suit jacket.
slim fit, size up! -

Quality material, rather slim fit, made in USA, bargain at this price! Remember slim fit this jacket is for looks not work function!
Can not recommend -

I was very disappointed in the colour. Your web site and catalogue picture it as more of a celery or faded moss. But what I received was a very dark green, almost OD, olive drab. Nowhere "near" the colour as advertised. The first time in years I have not been satisfied with Orvis.
I am willing to pay more for quality. I am even willing to pay a lot for quality. But this is very disappointing. In essence, this is an oversized, thin denim jacket. You gotta be kidding.
