  OK, so I am a TSA "Trusted Traveller," and I paid the fee so that the hassle factor would be lessened in our travel. We travel quite a bit, and I feel that the $100/5 yrs. is a bargain. So I am at an airport, carrying this bag, and I have it all zipped/buckled up and voila, I am selected for "secondary screening." So I placed the bag on the inspection table and waited for a reaction. The agent looked at the bag with all its closures intact and asked this question,"Do you have any forbidden items in the bag?" I said, 'no," and she said, "Go ahead." So a benefit accrued to me that I did not expect!

  Going on safari - 10/26/2015

  I bought this bag in the hopes that I could get all my needs in it to join a safari in Africa. Luggage size is limited by inner Africa airline travel in the bush. Luckily, I could, as everything fit andbmy belongings were well protected. It held up well!

  I just purchased this bag and am extremely satisfied. The bag is well made with an attention to detail. It is a little smaller than I expected but I should have noted the demensions. Great bag for everyday travel.

  Great bag - one gotcha - 5/27/2015

  The bag is great and I got it for a safari I leave for in 48 hours. It is ample to hold everything I need to keep on my person but I realized it is not carry-on compliant. Generally you're allowed 22x15x8 as a carry on and this is 25x12x12. I don't know why it wasn't made with slightly adjusted dimensions to permit it's use as a carry on. I'll see if I get busted by the airlines for my carry on infraction in 48 hours!

  Product is awesome! It has Orvis zippers on this Gokey bag. The leather trim is great. I am very impressed with the quality of this product.

  This is my first orvis purchase. My husband always wanted a duffle bag that he recalled from his childhood, that a friends dad had. He only knew the name orvis. So he was thrilled with his Christmas gift this year. He will be enjoying it for many many years to come. Beautifully made, great details and hi quality materials.
