Details: Large mayfly nymphs of the Ephemeridae family, namely the Hexagenia and the Green Drake, are burrowing nymphs. Hise's Hex fly is an excellent representation of a large emerging mayfly working to get to get to the surface. Hise recommends fishing this fly normally under an indicator or stripping it just below the surface. Color, Tan.
