Great lightweight jacket -
The Tennant jacket is the most flattering Barbour jacket I own. It cuts in at the waist to give you some shape and comes to the middle of my hips, a bit shorter than other Barbours. I was surprised at how thin it is when it arrived - it's definitely not for winter weather or anything cooler than a spring or fall day. It would be perfect for a rainy day in late spring or summer but without layering a sweater or fleece under it, it wouldn't keep you warm enough if colder than that. It doesn't have snaps on the collar to attach one of the Barbour hoods but you can easily do this yourself (there's a blog out there describing how to do it). I usually wear a 2 or x-small in jackets/coats and the size 6 fit perfectly. Also, the current jacket on Orvis didn't have the color listed when I purchased it - it's navy.
Favorite of 3 -

I have 3 Barbour jackets and this is my favorite - perfect all year round in the South. Layer polar fleece under or a down vest over on damp, chilly days, and great on its own when the weather warms. Easily packed, it travels well and looks good with both jeans and wool trousers. The black is extremely versatile - very happy with my purchase!
Since 1894, England's J. Barbour & Sons have produced clothes perfectly suited to life in the country. Their quality, durable clothing is cut for an active lifestyle and the fit varies according to each garment's design and purpose.
The sizing of Barbour’s clothing is divided into four classifications:
In the case of Barbour outerwear, sizing takes into account the appropriate layers beneath. That means you do not need to order a size up for a comfortable fit.
