Details: Once upon a time, the marine rope in this handwoven door mat was used by lobstermen to secure their pots, posing a danger that migrating whales might become entangled in the ropes. Putting old-fashioned Yankee ingenuity to use, Maine craftsmen helped the lobstermen afford new sinking lines by buying the old ropes and weaving these tough, mildew-resistant doormats. Beautiful seafoam coloring and sizing may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of the rope door mat. Approximately 30"L x 18"W.
