Tarpon see a lot of flies and they can become picky eaters, particularly in high traffic fisheries such as the Florida Keys and the west coast of Florida. When refusals are prevalent, it is often wise to try something a little different, something they don't normally see. Enrico Puglisi designed the Tarpon Streamer fly for just that purpose and has proved it useful in any number of places where tarpon are targeted, like the Florida Keys.
