Rosetta Stone

This attractor stonefly nymph is a great pattern for pressured water.

Details

Stoneflies are an obvious food source for trout in rivers all over the country. They create mass hysteria whenever they are active (both in the minds of fishermen and fish) because of their size and susceptibility. When they stage along the banks of rivers pre-emergence it's tough to beat fishing a big, fat, stonefly nymph. Grant Bench's Rosetta Stone has caught fish year round from many famous pressured waters with "educated" trout. The lifelike segmentation of the abdomen coupled with the movement of rubber legs is a winning combination when trout are looking for a big, easy meal. When you need to figure out what the trout want, it helps to learn their language. Rosetta Stone will get you started.

I have been using the Rosetta in black and gold for @ 4 months on the headwaters of the Toccoa River in North Georgia with great success! They just work - Best fish yet 26" Bow with a 14" girth. I love fishing this fly.

    It's the beef - 6/15/2013

I'm just going to keep this one really simple: The bug catches fish. I could try to tell you why I think it works, but they'd just be guesses. Why does a prince nymph work? Why does a trout sometimes hit an indicator? Why does the Rosetta Stone slay? For all three: it just does. Try it and become a believer through experience.
