This gate is made of high quality materials and looks great in my home, which was important to me since I wanted to leave it intact permanently. The ability to have it open or closed without putting it up or taking it down is so nice. It was easy to install on my own and required no tools. I was a little concerned that my 7-pound maltese would be able to squeeze through the bars, but so far so good (and she is pretty skilled at escaping from confined spaces)!,This gate looks great in person. It was very easy and quick to install. Simple to operate and sturdy. I would definitely purchase again.,Overall a very nice barrier, but if you have small dogs and a door on the wider end of the width ranges a dog can indeed wiggle through at the sides. We resolved by buying two 1" square oak rods, drilling them to accommodate where the adjustable supports come out of the sides, staining them to match the wood on the gate, and installing them with plastic spacers to set the correct spacing.. Once complete, it looked like a million $$ and works like a charm!. Perhaps Orvis will come up with appropriate extensions for an otherwise excellent product!,This gate is solid and well-designed. It looks great, too. Installation was simple.
Purchased this product on sale when I was prepared to pay full price. Bonus!,I bought this gate to close off an archway between the kitchen and living rooms and am very pleased with the appearance and quality of the gate. It just fits in beautifully. The only slight problem is that the extensions on either side of the gate are quite wide because of the archway and the puppy is able to wriggle through at this stage. Here, however, is a little tip. I've wrapped a bright luggage strap around on either side of the gate which keeps the puppy in place for now and also reminds us that the gate is there. The puppy will soon, at present rate of growth, be too big to wriggle through anymore.
