Great material, poorly sized -
This seemed like the perfect summer compliment to my other Barbour jackets. However, the sizing was way off. According to the size chart, this should have fit just like my other Barbour, but it was not even close.

a nice jacket, it is a small sized jacket, I bought the next size up which is fine. My only issue is the gaps in the stiching above the top pockets, designed to allow rain to pour into the top pockets and fill them with water. What are they about?
Not for me -

Too many big front pockets and shiny snaps with a slim fit, the jacket didn't look stylish on me. I wanted to like the coat but it didn't improve each time I tried it on in front of the mirror. I returned it for another Barbour item.
True to Size. Very cool design and color! -

This is a flyweight (thinnner material) waxed jacket in a fantastic looking brown color. The jacket seems to be a hybrid of three classic Barbour jacket styles; The International, Commando and Bedale. The thinner spring weight material means it wrinkles a little more easily than a fall weight jacket, but I found the wrinkles smooth out easily. Based on previous reviews, I was worred about the sizing. Barbour can be all over the board lately with sizes depending on what style or line (Heritage vs. Lifestyle, etc) you purchase. I am 6'4" and an athletic 240 pounds/ 36 inch waist and the XL fits me perfectly. So this jacket really IS true to size.
Ok other than Sizing -

Like other Barbour outerwear I've tried that uses the S, M, L, XL and XXL sizing as opposed to actual chest sizing, the jacket runs at least one and possibly two sizes too small. An XXL I tried is more like a XL or L. What is odd is that my Barbour Border jacket in size 48 fits perfectly. Order a size or two up and you should be fine. Nice Bark color for a change as well.
Since 1894, England's J. Barbour & Sons have produced clothes perfectly suited to life in the country. Their quality, durable clothing is cut for an active lifestyle and the fit varies according to each garment's design and purpose.
The sizing of Barbour’s clothing is divided into three segments:
In the case of Barbour outerwear, sizing takes into account the appropriate layers beneath. That means you do not need to order a size up for a comfortable fit.
