Best pants ever! -
I love these pants. It is hard to find dark brown pants with comfortable fit and long enough for me. These pants fit all the criteria.

Exactly what I wanted in casual pants. Good fabric, comfortable, good fit in petite size.
Great comfort -

Love the fit...never thought I would wear a petite but it's perfect.
I have 7 pairs of these. I am worried they plan to discontinue this style. They are long enough and come to the waist.. Perfect pant.. wash well but I do not put in dryer.
Love those slacks! -

The every day slacks are a perfect fit for me. I have owned several pairs and if orvis would continue them (I hope they will) I will continue to order them. I belong to several bowling leagues and these slacks are perfect for bowling. Not only the comfort these slacks give me but they really do look nice on! I recommend these to any active woman out there that loves comfort!
Pants that fit -
The color, construction and the fit are good. As usual, staff was great.

The "Tencel" garment (2 Pair "Everyday Favorite Pants-Petite) arrived with a message that they require dry cleaning. This was not indicated in the catalog. I notice that it was mentioned in a newer catalog we received after the order. Moreover they arrived wrinkled. My wife wore older "tencels" many times . They didn't fade and they held their crease and didn't require dry cleaning. We beklieve it has something to do with a change of material?

This product is made of 40% cotton and 60% a new synthetic. The appearance was great on arrival but when laundered as directed, the result was completely unsatisfactory. The material wrinkled and looked like something that might be worn as night clothing , but certainly not out in public. A real disappointment.
Extremely useful and easygoing -

This is the third year running I've ordered these trousers. I can rely on them holding their colour and shape with heavy use and laundering. They are very practical around the house and also in the garden with their relaxed fit. Highly recommended
|Tencel: natural fabric meets high-tech performance|
Eco-friendly and biodegradable
No fabric available today could better display the ideals of Orvis than Tencel®. Tencel is made of all-natural wood pulp fibers from trees grown on highly regulated farms that focus on sustainability. Not only is the material eco-friendly, but the process by which the fibers are made into fabric is, too. And when the clothing reaches the end of its useful life, it is especially kind to the environment. In fact, it is 100% biodegradable.
Moisture and temperature controlled for warm weather
The main benefit of clothing made from this unique fabric is the moisture and temperature control it offers to the wearer. Because wood pulp is naturally designed to absorb moisture for the tree’s survival, the fibers that are made into cloth do the same. The fabric pulls moisture directly from the skin and releases it into the air. Synthetic materials such as polyester do not take in moisture at all, but leave a film on the skin’s surface. And while cotton absorbs moisture, Tencel is 1 ½ times as absorbent. While cotton and polyester can both leave moisture on the skin in humid weather, Tencel does not, ensuring that bacteria will never get a chance to form between the fabric and the skin. This makes Tencel a truly safe fabric for all skin types – even babies!
Durable and soft for maximum comfort
But how can a biodegradable and moisture-locking fabric not supplemented with synthetic fibers possibly withstand the trials of daily wear and tear? The secret lies in nanofibrils – microscopic hairs that branch off from the outermost fibers. In the fabricating process, the nanofibrils are manipulated to give an all-natural fabric unnatural strength. Tencel even shows such strength while wet.
What’s more, Tencel is an especially smooth fiber, and has softness comparable to cotton and silk. The nanofibrils can also be altered to create fabrics that feel like suede, silk, denim, or as though they had been treated for a peach-skin finish.
Furthermore, these versatile Tencel fibers blend well with other fibers such as wool and cotton to create textiles more durable, soft, and moisture controlling than man-made fibers. Tencel clothing provides maximum comfort – whether you’re on the go, at work, or enjoying the outdoors.
A "feel-good" stylish fabric that's good for the environment
The Orvis customer can feel good about wearing and buying Tencel products – not only because they are naturally moisture wicking and very soft, but also because of the integrity in the source and the eco-friendly manufacturing process.
