  I have used this twice to reproof my Barbour jacket and if you take your time and follow the directions it truly does make jacket look and feel brand new.

  Barbour Perfect Again!!! - 11/27/2015

  Worth every penny. After years and years, I did not know if to purchase the official Barbour Thornproof wax from Barbour. Thank goodness I did. I re-waxed my coat myself after watching a couple of Barbour YouTube instructional videos. My Barbourjacket came out looking exactly as it did whenI first purchased it, years ago. It would have been a big mistake with any other wax. Thank you Barbour and YouTube!!

  I've owned a Barbour coat over 30 years, and it looked pretty ragged. I put one application of the "Barbour Thornproof Dressing " on it .....and it's and hard to believe, but it looks like a brand new coat. Truly a great product!! Thank you, Don

  Thought that this would be more difficult tan it was. Followed the directions and the application went very smoothly. My jacket had areas that looked faded and after applying the wax, it looked like new.

  Simple to Use! - 10/9/2015

  I picked up a can at my local Orvis not realizing just how small it is, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how effective it is at just a small amount. The website makes the can look like quart-sized but it's really much smaller than that - about 2.5"h x 2"w - so naturally I was concerned I wouldn't have enough wax to cover my Beadnell. Just one can not only did the entire jacket but I have more than half left over to use next year. The directions say to heat the wax and use a small piece of cloth to apply. I didn't do that and instead used it cold straight from the can and rubbed it in with my fingers. I found this made it easier to judge areas that were over- or under-waxed, rub the wax into seams and around snaps., and get it into tiny areas around the collar and pocket gussets. An added bonus is just how soft my hands and cuticles were afterward. It took just an hour to do my entire jacket and the results are fantastic. If you enjoy doing things yourself and don't have the patience to send the jacket back to Barbour for rewaxing, grab a can and have a go. The results are outstanding.

  I was thinking of sending my coat back to Barbour to be waxed but with the Fall season upon me I didn't want to waste any time! The wax was so easy to use and now my coat looks brand new!

  After watching multiple youtube videos i decided to take this on myself. With the help of my wife, we turned a 30 year old jacket into a brand new Barbour! this saved money and was super satisfying. Will do this again in 5 years if needed...

  Great Product, Easy to Use - 8/10/2015

  Highly recommend the thornproof dressing. Seriously simple to use, and now my Barbour jacket looks good as new--without having to ship it off. Wipe it on, rub it in, hit it with a hairdryer and let it set. It's that simple. I'm pretty sure as long as you are thorough, there is no way you could mess this up.

  It is nice to know that you can count on this old, and venerable product. It applies easily and you just need to keep it fairly hot. This product works for Ralph Lauren oilcloth and Barbour waxed cotton.
