Nice hook -
By: FredRickson from West Yellowstone, MT
I tied a few flies and the hook seems right for floating patterns. I especially like the weight and shank diameter when compared with other curved styles (lighter). I do wish it was barbless and had a Tiemco-like cutting point.

Right now these are my favorite hooks. Very easy to tie on. Great price.
Hard to find produce -
I was pleased to find this type of hook being offered. It is just what I was looking for. I've tied some flies with this and am anxious to fish with it.

The Klinkhammer is a favorite of mine. It has the three qualities I look for in a fly; easy to tie, durable, and effective. I was using the Partridge hook, this one is better. The Partridge is way oversized. A size 18 Partridge is almost equal to the size 12 Orvis. The Orvis is close to an average size 12. Like all Orvis hooks, it is very sharp, quality is excellent and it has a neat gun metal blue finish - not gaudy or off-putting to the fish. I like this hook!

I have been using tmc 2488 and giving them a bend. These are longer shanked and tie much better.
Smooth finish -

Extreemely smooth finish on the entire hook especially the hook eye. No burrs, voids, or rough surfaces on the eye that would cut into the knot resulting in tippet breaks.
Great Emerger Hook -

Far and away the best emerger hook on the market!!!
Good hook for euro nymphs too -
By: BigBrooktroutguide from western Maine
These hooks are excellent for tying czech and bobesh patterns. They allow plenty of room to add weight without making the nymphs too robust, allowing them to sink readily by moderately leading the flie(s). Only draw back, be careful not to put to much jaw pressure on them while in your vise, they tend to get scored easily and I've broken a few when hung up on the bottom and even decent fish on 3x. Tight lines!!
