The day was one me and my 10 yr. old son will always remember. Antoine is a highly skilled fisherman and outstanding teacher We caught fish ,shared stories and laughed the entire day . He supplies everything you need if need be. I would recommend him to anyone. Can't wait to spend another day on the river with the French Fly Fisherman.

Can't wait to hire him again! - 7/15/2013
    By:

I was given a guided fly fishing trip by my wife and kids for Father's Day and after some research I decided to go with Antoine. I was having a slow year and so I wanted to learn what I was doing wrong as well as catch some fish. In the first few hours Antoine proved himself to be instructional, funny, interesting, patient beyond measure and immensely likable. By the end of the very long and extremely enjoyable day, I had caught some nice fish, learned so much and I felt I was fishing with a friend, albeit one who knows a lot more than me about fly fishing! Do yourself a favor and go with Antoine. Unless you're a jerk. Then go with someone else because he doesn't need the aggravation ;)

This guide thinks like a fish! - 5/22/2012
    By: from Scarsdale, NY

My good pal Tom and I just spent two days on the Farmington River with Antoine and had such a terrific time. We fished our brains out all day (Antoine is tireless), caught fish, were taken to his secret spots, and even tho we're both 50-something, we learned so many useful and fun things about hunting trout. And of course the secret to that is to think like a fish. And Antoine does just that. Wonderful.

    Grandson's Best Adventure - 5/10/2012
By: from On the Farmington, NE Connecticut

Atfer 50+ years of fly fishing - basically everywhere - it was time for me to introduce my teenage grandson to the sport. Turns out Antoine was a brilliant choice...a superb teacher, beautiful demonstrator, patient mentor, tireless helper - full of encouragement and good will. Two Browns and one student were really hooked that day and I could not exaggerate how rewarding was the entire adventure for all of us. If you can "book" Antoine, you're in for a real treat!

Outstanding fly fishing experience - 4/27/2012
By: from Farmington River near Riverton, CT

Antoine Bissieux is a fly fishing guide not to be missed! Call or email him --he responds quickly. We found him by luck through an internet search for a fly fishing one day adventure. Antoine provided everything including outstanding equipment, gators, lunch, instruction, encouragement and that right blend of camraderie and letting us get comfortable with the fly fishing "zone" and just enjoying the rush of the river past our legs, casting, and searching out the telltale sign of a trout filling its belly on the emerging mayflies!
