North Fork Anglers guides on more than 1500 miles of excellent blue-ribbon trout waters in the NW corner of Wyoming. Cast your line on the fabled waters of the Shoshone, Bighorn, Greybull, and Clark’s Fork of the Yellowstone.
Summer is prime time for most of our guests. Our summer season typically begins around the first of July and ends early October. Average temps are 85 degrees during the day with low 50’s at night. Spring, fall and winter fishing is excellent, but temperatures vary. An average April day, for instance, can begin with frost on the ground and end with temps in the high 60’s! The best plan is to fly fish with North Fork Anglers regardless of the weather!
Leave North Fork Anglers with your guide around 8 am. If floating, you will drive to the river that is fishing best that day or week. If wading, you have hundreds of options: from small creeks to major rivers. All fish well, whether floating or wading.
We fish for native Yellowstone cutthroat, brown, rainbow and brook trout 365 days of the year.
Customers should bring the appropriate fly rod and reel, typically a 9’ 5 or 6 weight that can punch the wind, fly reel with floating line and some backing, waders and boots. Polarized sunglasses, personal medications, hat, long-sleeved shirt, 50 SPF sunscreen and rain jacket are always recommend. Rentals – rod/reel, waders/boots are available upon request at a nominal rental fee.
North Fork Anglers is a full service, Certified Pro Shop. We also offer locally tied flies, fishing licenses, free fishing hot spot information and friendly, professional fishing guides.
