Quail Creek Plantation provides the shotgunning enthusiast with two fully automated sporting clays courses of various levels of challenge, a comfortable and lighted 5 stand facility, wobble trap, and FITASC. Hard flying quail and pheasant hunting is available October 1st thru mid March. Gourmet southern-style meals and fine accommodations are available in our well appointed rustic lodge. Quail Creek Plantation is open year round for sporting clays, lodging and meals. Our quail season begins October 1st and ends mid-March. Our spring Osceola turkey hunts run for 6 weeks beginning the third Saturday in March.
The traveling sportsman can bring as much or as little as needed for his shooting experience at Quail Creek Plantation. The well appointed retail pro shop at Quail Creek can provide gun rental, ammunition sales, as well as shooting apparel and all other necessities to provide a safe and memorable experience.
Quail Creek Plantation is located in traditional Southeastern bird hunting terrain consisting of pine and palmetto flat woods, oaks and cabbage palm hammocks and cypress swamps.
Fall and winter provide a comfortable setting of temperature ranges from low to mid 40's to the mid 80's. Typical hunting weather will average in the mid 70's. Rain this time of year is the exception and not the norm. Wonderful weather in the heart of winter abounds in Central Florida.
Upon arriving at Quail Creek Plantation, you will be cordially greeted by a capable staff that will provide you with the upmost service available. Experience chefs, guides, shooting instructors and office staff will tend to all of the details of your visit. Quail Creek Plantation is available for year round sporting clays,Quail hunting, pheasant tower shoots, Osceola turkey hunts, lodging, corporate gatherings, fishing, guided buggy tours thru the property, pro shop, home furninshing store and limited exotic hunting.
Lake Okeechobee provides world renown bass fishing as well as scenic airboat tours and bird watching experiences. The sandy beaches of the Atlantic and shopping awaits you within a half hour drive. Quail Creek is also located only an hour and a half from the world famous Walt Disney World, Seaworld and Universal Studios.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in our eighty-five hundred square foot lodge by our experienced chefs and friendly staff. A grand variety of traditional southern favorite entrees and desserts are available each day of your stay. Well furnished private cabins as well as eight king-sized rooms await your reservation.
The native and elusive bob white quail are available October 1st thru mid March. All hunts are conducted by an experienced guide and the use of well trained pointing, flushing and retrieving dogs. Continental tower shoots are available fall and winter for ringneck pheasants and wild pigeons.
Customers will be responsible for all personal items as well as special medications and needed personal clothing items. Footwear is not provided by Quail Creek. Most guests prefer to bring their own firearms although gun rental is available. Cameras are highly recommended and WiFi is available in designated areas.
Q. May I bring my own dog?
A. Absolutely.
Q. What is the minimum age for the junior shooter?
A. No minimum age for sporting clays shooter when accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age. Quail and pheasant hunters must be 14 years of age.
Q. Do a need a license?
A. Quail and pheasant hunting is under the blanket preserve license; therefore hunters are not required to have a valid Florida hunting license. All turkey hunting guests, including out of state hunters are required to be properly licensed.
Q. What are the closest airports?
A. The closest commercial airports are Orlando International and West Palm Beach International. General aviation private aircraft can easily be accommodated within a 20 minute ride in Okeechobee or Fort Pierce.
