    Fantastic vise! - 6/9/2015
    By: from Nashville, TN

Love this vise. This is my first "real vise" (IE, didn't come with the kit) and I couldn't be happier I bought it. It's amazing how helpful the rotary function is. I was put off at first by how you have to undo a screw to adjust the jaws for center, but then I realized that for 99% of what I'm tying at the moment (just trout flies and a few panfish items), I can actually adjust the hook center by how and where I place it in the jaws easier than moving the jaws. Non-issue. I have had to adjust how I add materials to the back of the fly, since the vise is in the way a little bit. This has essentially come down to changing the angles that I hold materials to the end of the hook while tying. I may end up getting the non-true rotary Renzetti vise for flies where rotary isn't helpful. Overall, I love it. Well made and American made.

    Renzetti 2000 - 5/18/2015

If you are still tying on an old style non-rotating base like I was, it's just time to move away from the cave man century. This vise has easy to use and very strong jaws. The rotation is great to look at your fly from all angles, and if your tying on legs, or you want to see your underside dubbing, you can't beat a rotating vise to look. well worth the expense.

I'm new to tying and started on a non rotary vise also a very cheap one too and I tell ya is worth it to buy a nice vise. In my opinion you can't beat this price for what you get!I'm not a big fan of the plastic on some of the locking bolts but other then that I love it.

Pleased with my purchase - 2/10/2015

I recently returned to fly tying. Though my skills are rusty, this device has been easy to work with several qualities which have been very helpful. The stability is perfect and adjustments made easily. I studied many options prior to purchasing and believe I made a good choice.

I started tying a few months ago on a stationary vise, but the rotary function on the Renzetti has opened up my world. It's the little things: Palmering hackle is a breeze, and looks so much better. Sturdy base, handsome design. Couldn't be happier with this vise.
