Too Big -
By: Mr60Something from Chicago
I bought this a size up based on reviews. Maybe Orvis has fixed the size issue with new lots, because it was true to the size. Too big, sent it back.
Great but... -
I loved everything about this shirt, the fabric pattern etc. BUT, BUY IT A SIZE UP. My husband is never a large, always a medium. Because of other reviews, I bought him a large and it is a perfect fit.

Remember, this is not a bahama knock-off — it's the real thing... made in Hawaii by the original company since 1936. It runs a tad small. I wear a medium normally and a large for this shirt. When you wear the original, everything else is just a fake. Be true to yourself at least and get the real thing right here. My wife is from the tropical islands and when I wear this shirt, we actually look married :-)
Runs Small -
I usually wear a large in Orvis shirts but I had to return this for a XL as it was small in the shoulder and waist. Otherwise the material and overall quality is excellent and it would receive 5 stars.
CUT TOO SMALL -

The usually excellent Orvis has dropped the ball on quality control here. The XXL I got of the Navy color of this nice looking shirt, I am sure was really more like an L or an XL at best. There was a Havana shirt that was XXL in the same box that fit perfectly! I really wanted all three colors of this shirt, and after I hear back from Orivs, when they check the one I sent back for sizing, maybe mine was a mistaken label! I HOPE, because I like the look of the shirts.

Hawaiian style shirts are usually a loose fit. I have purchased several from Orvis over the years, all in XL, and they fit fine. Just received one in Pacific Blue. Way too small around the chest and waist. Goin' back to Orvis.
