Orvis Sandanona is offering a unique, one-of-a-kind learning opportunity for beginning upland hunters, or those interested in honing their understanding of the field hunting experience. This course is designed to take students from the basics of wingshooting technique right through the process of actual upland field hunts. Professional guides and instructors will be at your side every step of the way, and they will provide a safe and enjoyable entry into the world of upland bird hunting.
This special opportunity begins with our elite team of instructors guiding you through our instructional shooting areas, and improving every detail of your wingshooting technique. Clay target presentations will mimic real hunting scenarios, and students will build confidence and comfort through practice. Our corps of seasoned instructors will polish your wingshooting skills, or teach you from the ground up, in order that you might seamlessly transfer your skills into the hunting field.
The second day of the course will be spent in the field, alongside an instructor and field guide. Here, the skills of Day One are put into practice, as you hunt pheasants and partridge over top-notch dogs. Day Two will consist of a 2-hour morning field hunt, then a break for lunch in the new clubhouse, then another 2-hour hunt in the afternoon.
This is one of the greatest opportunities for aspiring upland hunters available, offering not only improvement on the practice range, but continued instruction and improvement in a real-world hunting environment. What better way to learn the sport or become a better and more productive upland hunter.
