Needs some fixing -
Great idea, but it falls out every time you open/close the windows. Also the color doesn't match with the car hammocks in tan.

Purchased for my dog with long, sharp nails so she wouldn't destroy my leather interior. Easily slides into auto window track, no problem. Snug fit to the door and stays in place. I have a new car and this product works as designed-- not sure why others had issues:)
Outwitted Houdini -

One of our Springer Spaniels is adept at propping himself on the door of both the car and truck so he can see outside. Two problems with this: 1) he invariably opens the window (which seems to delight him and terrify me) and 2) his feet, which might have just been in the barnyard get their mess on the door. Enter these door protectors. They're simple enough and very handy. Protection from dirty paws and, for reasons I haven't fully determined, he is now disinclined to pop up to see out. Depending on your vehicle, you might struggle a bit to get the tabs tucked into the window channel but it's do-able. I have these for both my car and truck. Paired with the dog hammock, I and my vehicles are covered.
Interior door protector -

I am hopeful this protector will save the back seat door. My dog gets very excited when we arrive at friend houses and scratches on the door. This should help. Only complaint is getting to the door release.
solution found! -

I read the reviews before buying this product, so I expected the plastic tabs on these covers to pop out of the window slots if I put the window down and then back up. Yes, that's exactly what happened but I needed something to cover my brand new car's back doors. My dogs ruined my last car with their nails. So I just knew it would be better than nothing. I took my car to Toyota to ask the service manager if she had any suggestions on how to keep the covers from falling off... Idea number 1, was to add tiny little bungee cords to it and attach them to the lip of the drink slots in the door. Suggestion number two was to insert something heavy in to the pockets to weigh down the covers. I used ankle weights in both sides and it's much better. If I don't roll the windows all the way down, which I would never do anyway, they seem to hold the tabs in place. So, try these ideas if you want to protect the sides of your doors from your dog's nails.

If ever you have a small dog that sits on back seat, but likes to stand on hind legs to see where he's going this is ideal, cuts out the muddy footprints on the ledge and arm rest and pockets to put leads and poo bags.

If you have an excited dog that scratches, this is an excellent solution. Well made and very durable.
Tabs don't fit -

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the tabs do not fit down in the window area. I had to cut a hole in the fabric and put it over my lock button.

Car door protectors - like every other Orvis product I have purchased, these items fit well, look good, look like they will stand up to years of wear and tear, worth every penny. Dogs are happy, we are happy :-)
Good idea but dosent work -

This product would have been good except that I cannot fit it to the door. It comes with plastic inserts which are surposed to slot into the window, however they don't and if you need to open the window it just falls off. I have tried to Velcro it on but with no success.
