Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots -
These boots did not make it CLOSE to 1000 miles!! Four weeks after I bought these boots. (only wearing them between school and home.) I noticed the rubber sole on both heels was about to fall off the boot!!!! The wooden heel was also very poorly built. So After having a shoe cobbler rebuild both heels completely. The boots seem great.

Shoe is cut too wide and it looks clumsy due to the wide toe box. Appears well made but the shoe looks too much like a construction boot. It is kust plan clumsy looking
Great pair of boots! -
I've been shopping around for a great pair of boots for quite a while now. I first purchased a pair of Blundstones, wasn't a fan, so I sent them back. Then, I came across these, and thought I'd give them a try. I'm normally a size 12, so I ordered 3 pairs 11, 11.5, and 12. The 11.5 was the winner. I've had them for a few weeks now, and am looking for any and all reasons to wear them. Leather -- supple. Construction - rugged. They look great, and feel perfect right out of the box. No break-in period necessary. All in all, I'm stoked. Further, Orvis customer service was fantastic, waiving shipping both ways, since I had to purchase 3 pairs.

The Wolverine 1000 Mile "Montague" Pull-on Chelsea boots are hand-crafted, comfortable, and stylish. They look great with both dress and casual clothing. I liked mine so much I bought two pair. SPECS: Upper: Horween Predator leather (Has a slightly distressed appearance) Lining: Leather sheepskin Footbed: Full leather over foam Midsole: Leather Welt: Leather Outsole: Leather/rubber Heel: Stacked leather/rubber Construction: Goodyear welt Made in China SIZE: I found that the 1000 Mile "Montague" Pull-on Chelsea boots run a FULL size large. I usually wear size 11.5 (by brand: Clarks 10.5M, Allen Edmonds 11C, US military 11.5D, Timberland 11.5M, New Balance 12D, and Adidas 12D) and initially ordered boots 1/2 size down from my usual size (11D) and found them 1/2 inch too long in length, but wearable in the width. I returned those boots and ordered a second pair one full size down from my usual size (10.5D) to see if I could do better and found the second pair to be a perfect fit in length and snug (but not tight) in width across the ball of the foot -- what you want in a boot without laces as they will stretch. BREAK IN: My boots were very comfortable right out of the box and required almost no break in.
