Bird feeder arrived, mechanism which deters squirrels was damaged, return product..
By: Gemini03 from Oxford, CT
A red cardinal sits right outside my breakfast room window where this bird feeder hangs from an aluminum arm that swings right over to my window. I have taken a photo of this from inside the window and this photo is now my screen saver and might be next year's Christmas card.I love this bird feeder & no squirrels can get into the bird seed. Thank you for a wonderful product!
Needs Quality Control -
By: sprucecreek from spruce creek, PA
This is a nice feeder, but ours came missing a rivet in the roof of the feeder. This rivet is necessary for the top to swing open. We were quite surprised in that it was apparent that no one had ever put a rivet in that little hole and no one had ever inspected to see if the rivet had been placed in the hole. The little rivet was no where to be found, so it was not a matter of it falling out in shipping. It was never inserted in the first place. We expect more from orvis and were disappointed. We did fix the problem rather than send it back, but whoever orvis is using to make these needs to implement some quality control.
Birds love it! -

Really a good feeder and the birds really flock to it. It holds 9 pounds of seed so no need to keep refilling until completely empty (about 2 weeks).
truly squirrel proof! -

This is the best squirrel proof feeder that I own. I have other styles of so called "squirrel proof feeders" but the squirrels always manage to get into them. So far, not one squirrel has managed to figure out how to get the seed. Fantastic! Now more food for the birds! And I love the color!
Beautiful, but problematic -
I ordered two of these feeders. Both had broken rivets in the same places. I'm guessing they broke when being tightly packaged. I'm keeping them because the problem is fixable, but will take some time and effort. Worth buying, but be prepared to get the toolbox out.
