Review retrieval timed out
Got it as a present in 2011... just set it up half hour ago. On my 1st real swing... 3rd overall, the ball flew over the fence. Sad thing is I'm sure it's too late to return. Sounds like an ongoing obvious issue. 800# on assembly instructions is disconnected also. Wish Orvis tested 1st cause I'm sure they would've caught it. I know the person who gave it to me said, "it's from orvis... it's gotta be good!" Kind've sad... $200 present down the drain for 15 minutes of assembly entertainment and 15 seconds of fun. Don't buy as a present cause the worst thing I have to do now is tell the person who gave it to me its garbage :( Orvis if you read these I would seriously recommend taking off the shelf,Useful as a swing groover and to improve swing speed with immediate results. Distance and speed not accurate but helps master technique with repetition. Wear and tear makes for a less than desirable short life span.,After the second swing the ball went flying. I drilled a hole in it and put a screw into it to keep it on the swinger bar. Would not recommend this to any one.,I purchased five Swing Groovers for my sons and husband, all of whom play golf.
One son opened and set up the SG and with one swing, hit the golf ball right off its stand into the neighbors yard. Needless to say, this product isn't for real golfers who drive 250 yards.,It was my husband's Christmas present. He was excited when assembling it, however, this quickly changed when the ball would not lock into place on the swing. He is a single digit handicapper. We returned it.
