Tuition includes comprehensive instruction, lunch, and use of Orvis fly tackle.
Note: Because of the heavier tackle used at the Orvis South Carolina Fly Fishing School, we strongly recommend that students be at least 12 years old.

Okatie One Day Class -
By: LEARNINTOFLY from Okatie, SC
My wife and I attended the one day class on 3/6/15 with Capt. Dave Murray. It was a really informative class and I would highly recommend it to people just starting out. Mr. Murray is a very likable and personable guy who has great patience and a tremendous amount of knowledge in his craft. He spent a good amount of time with each person (total of 4) to get them headed in the right direction. The Oldfield Plantation is a very nice neighborhood and the Country Club where the classroom stuff was is top-notch. The only thing that could have made this class better was if Capt. Murray could have changed the weather and given us some sun and 70 degree temps!!! We had a great time and learned the proper technique that with consistent practice will pay off in the end.
Oldfield Flyfishing School -
By: ChicagoFly from Okatie, SC
I just finished the 2 day school in Okatie. David Murray, the instructor, really knows how to break the technique down. He was patient and had so many tips to help me remember while casting. Oldfield is a beautiful facility. David has "hooked" me on improving and taking more trips.
