It has taken me quite some time to find a decent line to play with beach snook in SWFL on my 6 wt with. With no structure to be concerned about and throwing size 2-6 flies, I find an 8 or 9 weight to be a bit cumbersome to walk the beaches with in the morning. I picked up a 6 wt to make it more fun and less fatiguing on my arm, and was disappointed at the lack of quality options for an intermediate 6 wt line that would hold up in a saltwater climate, as many 6wt intermediate lines tend to be cold water specific. This has finally solved my problems and I am excited to spend the next few summers chasing shoreline snook with it!

I've used many brands of sink tip fly line, and this Hydros line is outstanding. The forward 10 feet is completely clear, exactly what I'm looking for, and the slow sink rate of 2.0 ips is perfect on the smaller streams I like to fish in spring. The line also casts and mends well even in temps in the 20s and 30s. A great product, Orvis.

I have this line in 6 and 8 weight for bonefish/redfish. It performs great in all situations. I was a little nervous after the 6 got pulled through mangroves by a bone, but the line held with only minor scrapes. You could buy much more expensive lines, but this one does the job for a reasonable price.
