LIGHTNINGBUG / SEATTLE
I have had my outcast for over 10 years and it's still awesome.
KOOTFISH / MONTANA
I wanted a boat like this from the first time I saw similar craft used on BC's Elk River. The Fish Cat really expanded my drift-boating opportunities, especially for small streams, as well as for my home river, the Kootenai River. You can "park" it anywhere you want, slide it in downstream of boulders, drop-offs, and gravel bars. I guide sporadically for an outfitter and own a driftboat and a self-bailing flyfishing raft, but neither can do what the Fish Cat can do in skinny, rough water. Not only that, but it's much lighter. Make sure you get the standing platform for the oarsman's seat. I also covered all the floor openings with painted marine plywood to enhance storage options. My fishing buddies are envious. It will take class 3 and 4 whitewater with no problems. Incredible boat!
