The Story

Travel to Rhode Island and let Orvis-endorsed guide Capt. Aron Cascone create a memorable fly-fishing experience for you. Cascone founded Constant Angler because he felt that he lived in paradise. He grew up fishing with his father on larger sportfishing vessels for tuna and pelagic species while also fly fishing for trout. He gained a passion for targeting many species in shallow water and sight fishing during trips to the Florida Keys. Utilizing these flats tactics in Rhode Island to practice for the next trip, led to the reveal of an astounding fishery in his own back yard.

A saltwater angler's dream scenario awaits those who charter with us. Consider visiting us in May and June when the evening brings the cinder worms to life from the depths of the ponds. Stripers flock to this natural buffet and anglers get the chance to cast at fish, sipping on the surface from the deck of a flats skiff. As the water warms and the summer air brings bigger bass and bluefish north, we move into the tidal estuaries and inshore rips to cast sinking lines to blitzes. You can spend your summer day hurriedly casting to the abundance of fish. Double-ups are far too common. As the high skies of summer take hold, come with us to the flats where anyone familiar with tropical sight-fishing will marvel at the chance to feed crab and shrimp patterns to cruising stripers while our experienced captains pole the flats. When the fish begin to return south in the late summer and fall, book with us again to chase these migrating bass along with their speedy companions, the false albacore, or book a charter to Block Island Sound where giant bass lurk in the depths and personal bests are recorded daily. No fishing license required. All rods, flies, and tackle provided. 1 to 2 clients per trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great trip on the flats Fished with Aron for the first time this past summer in early July. Spent most of the day sightfishing for strippers on the flats in one of the lagoons. Aron's keen eyesight and stealthy approach gave me multiple shots at fish. Wish my casting, especially my ability to get off a quick long cast, was more on point. Aron is patient, funny and works really hard to put you onto fish. Wish I could've had more days fishing with him and will definitely book him when I'm next in the area!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorite guides of all time I love fishing with Aron Cascone. Not only does he find the fish, but I learn so much from him on the water. He is the consummate professional of course, but in addition to that he is just fun to be with on the water. He has me laughing the whole time, even when I trout-strike a fish. The last time I fished with him, we got into fish busting bait, a super worm hatch, and some of the best flats fishing for stripers I have had in years. All in just a couple days. Book a trip with him--you will have a trip to remember.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the best! I've been fishing with Capt. Aron for a number of years. His local knowledge and passion for the sport are unsurpassed. Whether your in search of monster stripers off Block Island, or screamin' albies on the shoreline, you will not be disappointed when you fish with Aron. Although sport fishing is Aron's passion, I've also fished for black fish, black sea bass, and fluke with him. His love and respect of the sport and fishery is apparent in his every action.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Guide I’ve been fishing with Aron for a few years now and he is hands down my favorite guide to fish with. Besides putting you on the fish, his knowledge of fly fishing is like no one I’ve ever met. Every time I go out with Aron I learn something new that makes me a better fisherman down the road. He knows the waters of CT and RI like the back of his hand and its worth going out with him just to throw some if his secret patterns his ties. He has a true passion for the sport and enjoys being on the pole just as much if not more than having a rod in his hand. If you are in the CT/RI area I highly recommend fishing with Aron. I try to at least 2/3 times a season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot say enough good things about Capt. Aron I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Capt. Aron. Been out with him multiple times per year over the last couple years, and he always finds the fish. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and just a great guy to be around. I've used other charter captains in the past and no one compares to Capt. Aron. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a find I found Capt Aron searching for a light tackle trip for Stripers for my 15 year old son and I. I was really trying to get my son to like fishing and after our first trip with Aron my son was all in. We spent 3 separate days throughout August with Capt Aron and caught Bonito, Falsie and Plenty of Bass. If your looking for a true Guide that knows what he’s doing and is Honest than you found the right guy. My son and I have already booked our trips for next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great trip Another fabulous fishing weekend. Aron is professional, knowledgeable, consistently puts me on fish, is generous with his time and expertise and is lots of fun. What made the trip exceptional was that Aron made it a point to really understand my goals and went above and beyond to make them happen. That is what makes Aron a truly outstanding guide.
