Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight warmth for cooler days In our recent cold snap with temperatures falling below freezing this coat has been much appreciated. The Primaloft lining keeps it lightweight and warm, and it blocks wind well. It's a great coat for light activity, although layering would be necessary if you tried to treat it as a stadium coat or used it for other passive activity. The hood is a nice feature, although other reviewers have correctly noted that the zipper which attaches it to the coat tends to move a couple of inches on its own. Hand warmer pockets are not present, unlike with other similar offerings, but I've been needing gloves anyway so haven't really missed them. The front pockets are large, and the outside zippered chest pocket is relatively large and easily holds a smartphone. Since it's a long coat and falls below the waist the two-way zipper is a useful addition, although the zipper can be a little fussy. Waxing it helps. I've been very pleased, and look forward to many years of wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An instant classic This overcoat has quickly become one of my favorites. I am 5'8" and 175 lbs and it is a perfect fit. It is warm without being especially heavy. It is roomy enough for a sweater or light sport coat but not so much that it swallows without one. I haven't had it in extreme weather yet but it has stood up to cold and wind well. - Several reviewers had issue with the zipper, I've not experienced that problem. Mine has worked fine. - Also, the description mentions a waist band that isn't there, but it isn't necessary. Would, in my opinion, ruin the function of the coat. Great purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It is okay. Purchased to replace go to winter coat. Unfortunately not warm, not much insulation in sleeves. Light weight, but lack of warmth reflects it. Frumpy appearance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Grab and Go Handy, warm, big front pockets. Two-way zipper provides a challenge to align.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good coat, bad zippers I wear it every day to walk the dog in the winter. Its warm and light weight. It's marketed as water repellant, but I haven't tested it. The shell is soft and quiet for water repellant. I bought the coat on clearance sale and its worth the money. However the zippers are much too light for this type of coat. The front opening always takes extra time to get it lined up correctly to zip. The hood zipper won't stay closed and the hood falls off when not in use. I finally gave up and took the hood off. I have several items from Orvis and like them all, but this is certainly my least favorite.
