The Story

Enjoy upland hunting in Union Point, Georgia at Fishing Creek Farms, a private wingshooting preserve. The Fishing Creek Farms team is dedicated to creating enjoyable and relaxing hunting experiences for small groups of family and friends. In keeping with the farm's beginnings as a family retreat, we believe in maintaining an intimate setting in which close compatriots can enjoy the traditions of their sport by day, and relax with a good meal, good wine, and good company around the fire pit by evening. Our hunts are never focused on numbers, but rather a relaxed and considerate environment for our hunters, their guests, and the wildlife.

In the field, strong flying birds are paired with stylish pointing dogs and charismatic flushing dogs to deliver a memorable wing shooting experience. The Fishing Creek team takes pride in offering guests an intimate wing shooting adventure—free from commercialization—where you are welcomed as a true friend of the Taylor family.

Fishing Creek has recently acquired a string of well-trained German Shorthair Pointers bred and trained by Sunsage Sporting Dogs. In partnership with Sunsage Sporting Dogs, Fishing Creek also employs as string of meticulously trained English Cocker Spaniels. Their pointing dogs are steady holding point, and their reliable flushing and retrieving dogs ensure an ethical hunt.

While alternate hunting venues certainly exist, the combination of opportune location, exceptional hunting, exquisite accommodations, and gourmet cuisine, all in a private setting, make Fishing Creek Farms a destination not to be missed.

Orvis is pleased to offer our travel customers access to two valuable services: Global Rescue travel membership and IMG Signature Travel Insurance℠.
