Henry's Fork of the Snake River - Upper (Above Ashton Reservoir), Idaho Fly Fishing Reports & Conditions
My tips of the week
Look to catch a Midge hatch at the warmest point in the day. Overcast skies can make for some great dry fly fishing. Be on the look out for redds and avoid them! Do not walk through a redd or target spawning fish. They are the future of the fishery.

Tail water sections, broad flats, isolated canyons, plunging waterfalls and long riffles flowing through farmlands all ...

Techniques & Tips

Look for rising fish eating adult or emerging midge flies. If there is nothing happening there, nymph or streamer fishing can be extremely productive. We are into sub surface season where getting down and dirty with an indicator/euro style rig will produce your best numbers and some great quality rainbow and brown trout.

7-Day Forecast

Cold weather is here to stay. Midge activity is still a great opportunity to find fish looking up eating dry flies.
