My tips of the week
The Power House 2 riffle area and Carbon Flat have been fishing well. Nymphing in the riffle is always good if you don't mind company. Spinner falls in the morning has made searching the flats below a great option in the morning.

Best time of day to fish: All day

Best stretch: Power House #2 riffle, below Hat Creek park

Best access point: From the junction of Highways 89 & 299, continue north 2.7 miles to a road on the right marked "Hat No. 2." This is the PG&E access road to Hat Creek Power House #2. At this point the water from Baum Lake that was diverted to the power house several miles downstream re-enters the river.
