Best access point: From the junction of Highways 89 & 299, continue north 2.7 miles to a road on the right marked "Hat No. 2." This is the PG&E access road to Hat Creek Power House #2. At this point the water from Baum Lake that was diverted to the power house several miles downstream re-enters the river.
