Fishing conditions: Summer heat and some stormy days. Bite still strong near clean water. In spite of national reports, our water seems to be free of red tide and the fishing is very good. Unfortunately, the areas north of us are very affected and we are hopeful that the issue will get resolved as soon as possible.

Inshore temperature: 88 Degrees F

Offshore temperature: 85 Degrees F

Type of bait fish are feeding on: Thread herring, shrimp, mud crabs, glass minnows, scaled sardines, mosquito fish

Fish species: Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Seatrout

Fishing season: Year round

Nearest airport: RSW-Fort Myers or FLL-Fort Lauderdale

Fish early using surface poppers. Fish get lazy as the heat of day wears on.
