Brodhead Creek, Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Reports & Conditions
My tips of the week
As the summer rolls in here on the Brodhead, the water levels have been dropping and temperatures are warming. The trout are still here and feeding but are most active in the morning and late evening hours. Please be aware of temperatures. Water temperatures may exceed 70 degrees on days when the air temperatures are in the 80's and 90's.

Techniques & Tips

Euro Nymphing has been extremely effective if you are getting to the bottom. Typically a mix of big ugly stones to get down and standard nymphs like pheasant tails and frenchies will get the job done. Match the hatch, dry fly fishing has also be effective in the evenings. Check the chart for current hatches.

7-Day Forecast

The weather is looking hot and humid for the next several days. Fishing will definitely be tough during high sun periods.
