Jersey Shore Description

Stretching from the Manasquan Inlet north along the Monmouth County coastline and around Sandy Hook into the Raritan Bay. Here fly anglers can experience great fishing either off the groins and beaches into the Altlantic Ocean or along the inlets into large rivers or the flats and sod banks of the back bays. It's a challenging fishery and success depends on the anglers knowledge on the location of the fish ...

Techniques & Tips

Look for birds working or bass or blues chasing bait. Tides are always important, as is scouting the water on lower tides. Beach replenishment has destroyed much of the natural structure, so beach fishing has been off for years.

7-Day Forecast

Its that time of year where we wait for the striped bass, blues, and maybe albies intersect with baitfish like anchovies, bunker, spearing and sand eels. September produces some fish, but then theres the October slow period, and one day it busts open.
