Techniques & Tips

Its best to carry 2 rods this time of year, and you can catch just as many fish on foot as you can from a boat or a tube at this point. Most of the fish will be found foraging in groups all over the lake. Our guides rig one rod with a static indicator rig, and the other with and intermediate sink head/ line. Your static indicator rig should focus on Chironomids, Egg Patterns, and immature Callibaetis nymphs. If you run a second rod with a short sink tip or intermediate head, it is best to use small leech patterns in a dark red or olive coloration.

7-Day Forecast

Callibaetis and Damsels are the key. Early mornings till noon. Afternoons, try hoppers around the islands
