Midges, Midges and more midges! Nymphing has been the most consistent as hatches havn't been bringing the fish up. Have a good selection of zebra midges in sizes 18-22 in black, red, and brown variations. Beginning in northern Nevada, the Owyhee River flows northward toward southeastern Oregon and southwestern Idaho before it joins, as a major tributary, the Snake River.

Techniques & Tips

Running your favorite tailwater baetis nymph to a zebra midge dropper will be your best bet and most productive. With the higher flows the hatches have been there, but the fish have been sporadic feeding on them. Should be a couple more weeks till we really start seeing consistent hatches and heads up
