September Canada goose: Non-resident licenses are available for purchase. Fall duck hunts: Non-resident licenses are allocated through a lottery draw. Application deadline to enter is early July. Spring snow/blue goose hunts: March and April. Non-resident licenses are available for purchase.
Ducks: Pintails, wigeon, wood ducks, teal, gadwall, green-head mallards. Geese: Canada geese, snow geese, and blue geese.
All of our hunting is done on 100% private ground and is located within a 30-mile radius of the lodge. We hunt primarily dry corn fields but also hunt over flooded corn and water at our pit locations. It is a very easy, comfortable hunt as you are rarely going through the hassle of gearing up with waders.
Fall begins mild and we hunt as long as the water is open. South Dakota experiences harsh temperatures towards the late season. We always recommend dressing in layers. Spring can be cooler early in the day and warmer as the day progresses. Layering systems are always the way to go!
