Rated 3 out of 5 by from Steps not firm enough I use the product for my 13 year old female Lab. I have to help her up the Orvis stairs onto my bed where she sleeps. She is hesitant to use the stairs because of the lack of firmness, the product has too much give to give my dog any confidence.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Steps good if dog is under 25 lbs. The steps are great however, my 23 Lb. dog can use them but just barely, He sinks into them easily. Not sure why they say heavier dogs can use them. Don't buy these if you have a large dog.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Squishy, squishy, squishy My aging Golden Retriever mix can no longer hop onto the bed. I figured this would be just the ticket. But for my 68 pound dog -- it wasn't at all. Using treats as an inducement, I coaxed her up to the stairs. She took put one paw on the first step; it mushed down, she freaked out. I switched to cheese (usually irresistible) - but she wouldn't even come near the stairs and now she is afraid of them. This might be fine for small dogs -- but I certainly can't recommend it for medium to large dogs. I'm sending it back (I recycled the box, that's how confident I was) - so Orvis is getting a Frankenbox.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT for big dogs! The description says it will support dogs up to 165# yet the stairs are WAY to soft and squishy for even my 80# dog. They are so soft that my dog is unsteady on them and avoids them Will be returning. I would say a dog no more than 40# could use these safely. However, like all Orvis pet products they are lovely and the cover is removable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dogs LOVE their new stairs My 10 yr old Doxies love their new stairs leading up to their mommy's bed. They love going up and down on the soft squishy stairs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not enough stability These stairs aren't stable enough for a midsize or larger dog to climb with confidence. Maybe a very small dog could use them but our 40 pound Vizsla could not. Disappointing. I wonder if the manufacturer ever tried them out with a real dog. (I also resent having to turn off ad blockers to submit a review.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs More Support These steps look great buy have no support or frame - just a large block of foam and a zippered cover. Additionally, there are 5 steps where 3or 4 would suffice. Our 85 pound 11 year-old Lab wound up crushing the foam which caused more stress on her aging rear hips - which is why we purchased the steps and were trying to avoid. If you have a smaller and lighter dog, these may work for you, unfortunately we will have to return them and search for something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Stairs Ihave two Dacshunds and one Jack Russell terrior. They have no problem getting up on my bed! It is safer because it is wider. Great product.
