Fishing is dictated by tides. The day typically starts with a short boat ride to our local flats. Most days start with wading but often include a combination of both wading and fishing from a flats boat (16ft Action Craft). Lunch is either picnic style on the boat or a short ride to one of our local favorite waterside restaurants.
Bonefish, Golden Trevally and Barred Jack can be caught year round. Trevally in the 10+ pound range can be caught in the summer months.
Rod, reel, line/leader/tippet, flies.
Cooler with ice, water and picnic lunch.
No fishing license is required.
Good pair of wading boots, polarized sunglasses, hat, buff, long sleeve lightweight shirt, shorts/swim trunks or lightweight quick dry pants.
If you have a favorite 7-9 wt saltwater rod/reel/line you are welcome to bring it along.
