What is Provided:
Included in fishing schools, wade fishing and charters: All fishing tackle, guide/instructor and/or captain, fuel, ice, bottled water.
Lunch for fishing schools and cleaning of fish are provided.
Lunches during chartered fishing trips may be purchased off boating menu for an additional charge.
All guests of Chatham Bars Inn receive complimentary valet shuttle service into town, boat shuttle service to the outer beach, bike rentals, the Kids Crew morning sessions, and access to the heated outdoor pool and private beach. Daily newspapers and wireless access are also included.
Gear Recommendations:
Fly-fishing rods ranging from 8 wt to 10 wt, typically with a sinking weight line. Waders are recommended for all wade fishing trips and two-day schools. Wading baskets are highly recommended. We recommend wearing SPF sun shirts and multiple layers to respond to the ever changing New England weather, as well as hats, gloves, sunglasses, and a buff face mask.

Region/Terrain:
Cape Cod extends 70 miles into the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by Cape Cod Bay on the north, Buzzards Bay on the west, Vineyard and Nantucket Sounds on the south, and the Atlantic Ocean on the east. The Cape has a breadth of one to 20 miles and has more than 400 miles of shoreline. The Cape also has many small freshwater ponds in the inland areas and the surrounding waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Cape Cod beaches offer excellent sand, swimming, and water sports.
Typical Weather:
Cape Cod is known for ideal weather during the summer months with sunny days, low humidity, and evenings cooled by ocean breezes. Summer temperatures usually range from mid-60s to high-70s F. Another fantastic time to visit is during the spring and fall, with pleasant temperatures in the 50s and 60s, perfect for outdoor activities. Winters tend to be mild with temperatures normally 10 degrees warmer than Boston.

Boating activities include whale watching, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard trips, evening Champagne Cruises, bass and bluefish on our 34 regulator, offshore tuna fishing, seal cruise, pirate cruises, lobster trips, great white shark expeditions, private sailing charters, sail to the seals, evening sail, youth sailing instructions, kayak rentals, and Hobie Cat rentals.
The Kids Crew promises to make each child's visit to Chatham Bars Inn unforgettable. Offered July 1st through Labor Day with morning and evening sessions, every activity is hands-on and innovative, with an emphasis on local fun! Our dedication to providing diverse and exciting programming for children is unparalleled throughout the region.
The on-site, full service spa offers the finest in luxury treatments and amenities including oversized treatment rooms with private showers and a hydrotherapy tub. The spa also features its own outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub, as well as outdoor cabanas for spa treatments.
Other:
- The Resort has pet-friendly rooms and pet-friendly outdoor spaces.
- The Resort and boats are available to guests with limited mobility.
- Fish will be cleaned by the captain.
- The chef can prepare the catch in our restaurant for a nominal fee.
- All fish can be packed up and iced down for the guest to transport home in a cooler.
- Fish can be shipped home at the guest's expense.
