Details

Dates: 2022 Dates Coming Soon.

The Orvis Complete Family Fly-Fishing School is located at beautiful Falcon's Ledge Lodge in Altamont, Utah, providing privacy, seclusion, and diversity of waters to learn about freshwater fly fishing.

Expert instructors who have been teaching fly fishing for over 15 years will teach children and their parents how to fly fish on rivers, small streams, and ponds/lakes. Each family will have their own personal fly-fishing instructor. Many of our instructors are school teachers and are great with children. You will learn dry fly fishing, nymph fishing techniques, and streamer techniques and get to fish a lot of different water and catch fish, all while enjoying time with family in the beautiful mountains of Utah.

Falcon's Ledge Lodge is a beautiful, modern lodge with full private bathrooms in every bedroom for comfort and privacy, gourmet meals, a large ten-person hot tub, and world-class views. From the lodge, there is access to 15 private fly-fishing lakes and five rivers and streams. It is no wonder Falcon's Ledge has won the Orvis Fly-Fishing Lodge of The Year twice and has hosted the Orvis Complete Trout School for many years now.

The quiet, diverse waters around Falcon's Ledge provide the opportunity to have rivers and lakes all to yourself and the possibility of catching rainbow, brown, brook, cutthroat, and tiger trout all on the same trip. The Complete Family Fly-Fishing School will give you the chance to learn all about fly fishing with your family in the privacy and seclusion of a modern lodge with the beautiful surroundings of the Ashley National Forest and Uinta Mountains of Utah.
