A product of Norway since 1932, the Helle Harding knives are some of the most recognizable knives in the world, due to their distinctive handle shapes and profiles that have stood the test of time. Good craftsmanship requires the ability to create handle shapes which are consistent with the blade, fit comfortably in the hand, and add character to the knife. The blade is made of three layer stainless steel, but the handle and the sheath are both built with as much painstaking care as the blade. This knife has a handle of darkened oak, leather, and curly birch that is painstakingly ground and polished. The Norwegian sheath has evolved functionally over the years and is made of specially tanned leather and then treated with saddle wax. 3.9" blade length. Norway.
