Kyle Waggoner hunts large private leases throughout Fremont County, Wyoming. We are hunting varied terrain, from Sage brush pastures to gently rolling mountain hayfields. When hunting Ruffed and Spruce grouse we will be in steep timbered country, and when hunting Chukar we will be hiking on steep, rocky ground. Do to our commitment to chasing WILD birds we, will sometimes encounter snowy, muddy, and slippery conditions.
Generally, a high desert weather pattern is expected. Days can be semi windy, but precipitation is not the rule during bird season. Early season can see some high temperatures and bright sun, and late season can be quite chilly, particularly at night. Late-season snows are not uncommon. Please prepare for all types of weather, as conditions can change quickly here in the West.
Generally, hunters fly into the Riverton, WY airport, and meet guides the evening before the hunt for dinner and cocktails. An early rise and a hearty breakfast precede 4 to 5 hours of hunting.
