Our trout season typically starts by April 15, but depending on the weather could start as early as April 1. Smallmouth bass fishing begins in late June and continues to the end of September.
Species:
Wild brown and rainbow trout, smallmouth bass.
Region/Terrain:
The Upper Delaware System offers 80 fishable miles of premier wild trout water. This is big river fishing, generally fishing from a drift boat, although there are wading opportunities if desired.

Early Spring: Air Temps 20 - 40°
Spring: Air Temps 30 - 50°
Late Spring: 30 - 70°
Summer: 40 - 90°
Weather can change drastically throughout the day. Having multiple layers and rain gear is a must.

What is Provided:
Fly rods and reels along with all terminal tackle, flies, and beverages are provided. Full-day trips include lunch.
Gear Recommendations:
9' 5 weight fly rods with floating line for trout.
9' 7 weight fly rods with floating line for smallmouth bass.
What to Bring (Additional):
Rain gear and sunglasses.
Additional Activities:
Rick guides wingshooting trips for wild grouse and woodcock starting October 1 - February 28. Rick is owner and head guide of Catskill Casts & Coverts.
