Leigh H. Perkins, Jr.
Perk Perkins joined Orvis in 1977 and has lead Orvis as CEO since November 1992. Under his guidance, the company has grown from $88 million in sales in 1992 to in excess of $340 million in 2013. Perk has built a strong business culture of quality and brand integrity throughout the multi-channel retailer.
Perk is an avid and accomplished fly fisherman, wingshooter, canoeist, cross-country skier, and bird watcher. He has lead the company’s renowned support of conservation (5% of profits) with the mantra “If we are going to benefit from our natural resources, we must be willing to take action to protect them.” For the last 25 years, he has served on boards of conservation organizations as well as local civic boards.
David D. Perkins
David D. Perkins
David Perkins joined Orvis in the family business in 1979 and has held numerous positions in the company from Fly Fishing Instructor to retail development.
David lead the retail expansion and development of Orvis Adventures, Schools, Endorsed Lodges, Outfitters and Guides, as well as Orvis International Travel and the Sandanona Shooting Grounds.
An avid fly fisherman and wingshooter, David has traveled extensively pursuing these interests. David has served on the boards of The Ruffed Grouse Society and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. He served as chairman to the Tall Timbers Research Station and the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partner.
William R. McLaughlin
Bill McLaughlin joined the Orvis team as President in July 2015. Bill’s career has included leadership positions with Pillsbury, Frito-Lay, and most recently as CEO of the Select Comfort Corp., the Sleep Number bed company. His experience with product innovation, brand development, omni channel customer experience and building strong teams and culture will be relevant to Orvis’ continued success.
Bill is an outdoor enthusiast with interests in biking, skiing, racquet sports, and in recent years, fly-fishing and bird hunting. Bill and his wife, Martha, come to Vermont from Minneapolis. They have three daughters pursuing careers of their own.

Rob joined Orvis in 2005 as the Vice President, Corporate Controller. In 2008 he was promoted to CFO and added additional responsibilities in 2010 when he was named COO. Today his responsibilities include Retail, Finance, Fulfillment & Contact Center Operations, Real Estate and IT.
S. Joe Carpenter
S. Joe Carpenter
Joe joined Orvis in November 1999 as Director of Retail Merchandising and Inventory. He now oversees our merchandising efforts in Men’s, Women’s, Pet, Gift and Home for all distribution channels in the US and UK.
Prior to becoming Vice President/GMM, S. Joe was Vice President of Retail/Men’s and Men’s DMM. Before joining Orvis he was President/founder of Rift Valley, a men’s specialty sportswear brand based out of Atlanta, GA.
Frazier joined Orvis in November 2005, having spent most of her early career managing and purchasing for retail stores. She was promoted to Vice President General Merchandise Manager in October of 2016 and has served on the Orvis Executive Committee since June of 2013. As VP General Merchandise Manager, she also oversees the Merchandise Operations and Planning functions. Frazier is a graduate of Williams College.
Dave joined Orvis having most recently been with Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. in St. Louis, MO, where he was the Chief Information & Interactive Officer. Dave was also a board member with Orvis on their IT Strategic Forum prior to joining Orvis as an employee.
His experience ranges from transforming retail business into engaging customer experiences, building successful brand recognition through industry affiliations and community service, and creating collaborative cultures to deliver meaningful digital experiences and increase customer engagement. He is a valued expert in e-commerce and interactive strategy, emerging digital technology, social media and mobile technology, business process and systems alignment, and business intelligence.
