The SHR opens May 15 and closes October 15th. Fishing begins to peak in July, with optimal fishing in September and October.
The Spotted Horse Ranch supplies fly rods, reels, waders, nets and booties. Guests are responsible for flies, leaders, tippets and their fishing license.
At an elevation of 6300 feet, the SHR offers wade fishing along the banks of the Hoback River, Willow Creek and Snake River. We also offer driftboats for those anglers hoping to experience new water...the Snake, Green, and Salt rivers are all incredible fishing locations.
The weather in Jackson Hole varies from season to season. However, the warm temperatures of summer usually hold into September (65 to 75), with cool evening temperatures in the 40's. October is crisp, with daytime temps in the 60's and low temperatures in the high 30's. A chance of snow is always a consideration.

In addition to wade fishing or fishing from a driftboat, our guests enjoy the added benefit of utilizing horses to access fish in remote creeks and streams. These areas are accessed from the Ranch, on the other side of the Hoback River.
All guests of the Spotted Horse Ranch stay in individual log cabins, with goose down comforters and private baths. Daily housekeeping service, hairdryers, shampoos/conditioners and coffee machines are supplied. Cabin configurations vary; please call regarding availability.
Staff gratuity is included in the service fee...however, the fishing guide is not included in this fee. Airport transfers are provided, at a rate of $45.00 per trip, per vehicle. If a trip into the town of Jackson requested, we can arrange transfers at a rate of $35.00 per vehicle, per trip.
