Fishing conditions: Fishing has been pretty good right now. Find clean water in the interior marshes or go way out to the very edge of the marsh and look for tide seams. Throw topwater when you can.

Inshore temperature: 86 Degrees F

Offshore temperature: 87 Degrees F

Type of bait fish are feeding on: Mullet, rain minnows, pogeys, crabs, and shrimp

Fish species: Redfish, Speckled Sea Trout, Black Drum and Sheepshead

Techniques & Tips

With the weather heating up, get out there and throw topwater flies like gurglers to entice redfish early in the morning. This can work really well when you have clouds and sight fishing is tough.
