The Au Sable is one of the stablest flowing rivers in the country. Largely fed by springs, it boasts consistent hatches and wild trout. It is a renowned dry-fly river, but is also known as the birthplace of many modern streamer techniques.
Fish the afternoons. Best time to nymph is usually between 11 am and 2 pm, and for streamers 2-5 pm.
Not bad!
