Pit River - Northern California, California Fly Fishing Reports & Conditions
My tips of the week
Pit 3 flows have been throttled back and are varying from 400 - 550 CFS over the past week. This is well above what they release beginning in April through the end of the regular trout season, but definitely fishable. Flows through Pit 4 and 5 are good too, so the Pit would be worth a trip. The clarity is just about right. It's a Baetis and midge bite right now, although you should always throw on an Amberwing Prince and a Rubberlegs.
